Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Care Assistant to join our team at Blackwood House. As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing personalized care to our residents, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality care to residents, adhering to their individual care plans and promoting their dignity and respect.
- Assist residents with daily living activities, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
- Support residents with their medication, meal times, and other essential needs.
- Engage residents in leisure and social activities, promoting their physical and mental well-being.
- Collaborate with the care team to ensure seamless care delivery and effective communication.
Requirements
- Previous experience in care work, preferably in a residential setting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues.
- Compassionate and empathetic approach, with a genuine interest in supporting older adults.
- Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to work varied shifts and respond to changing care needs.
- Basic knowledge of care principles and practices, with a willingness to learn and develop skills.
