About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Maintenance Specialist to join our team at SPIROL INDUSTRIES LTD. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our production processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair site services, installations, plant, and equipment to minimize unplanned downtime and establish a robust Preventive Maintenance (PM) procedure.
  • Perform Predictive Maintenance (PdM), Reactive Maintenance, and site upgrades to optimize equipment performance.
  • Update electrical drawings and provide circuit diagrams to ensure accurate documentation.
  • Deliver repairs and installations to the correct specifications on time and in full, adhering to quality standards.
  • Utilize advanced principles and techniques to repair, replace, and test all electrical installations, and assist with the repair and replacement of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other electrical controls.
  • Liaise with relevant departments to minimize service interruptions and ensure seamless production.
  • Assist the mechanical team as needed and contribute to the development and mentorship of apprentices.
  • Conduct inspections for Preventive Maintenance and respond promptly to equipment breakdowns, prioritizing workload daily.
  • Perform quality inspections and collaborate with contractors on internal and external work.
  • Maintain electrical consumables and contribute to the control of maintenance costs and budgets.
  • Participate in ongoing installations and upgrades to projects on site and liaise with relevant departments regarding priority breakdowns.

Additional Requirements

  • Provide holiday/absence cover for other roles/tasks as needed.
  • Fulfill any other duties required for the job role.
  • Be flexible to travel as required and hold a full clean driving license.
Qualifications and Education
  • Be time-served in an electrical discipline.
  • Have electrical experience in fault-finding and repair of equipment in a production/manufacturing environment.
  • Have a good working knowledge of LEAN principles and commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Exhibit excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping.
  • Adhere to company core values and exhibit excellent work ethics and standards.
  • Have good planning skills to assist in the preparation of maintenance action plans and monitor these plans to optimize productivity.
  • Have a good understanding of health and safety and adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Hold a City & Guilds 18th Edition qualification.
  • Have a good working knowledge of PUWER.
  • Have knowledge of panel wiring.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • Hold a Health and Safety qualification and/or experience.
  • Have electrical and mechanical experience on presses, CNC, Laser cutting machines.
  • Have fault-finding experience.
  • Have test and inspection experience.
  • Have knowledge of safety circuits.
