We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join a prominent aviation organization.
In collaboration with the HR Director, the HR Generalist will play a crucial role in delivering HR assistance across various aspects of the organization, including performance management, training initiatives, and employee relations.
This position requires onsite presence 3-4 days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary contact for employees and managers regarding all HR inquiries, while assisting the HR Director with daily operational HR functions.
- Facilitate employee relations matters, including grievances and disciplinary actions, and support managers in performance management, escalating issues as necessary.
- Offer in-house HR guidance and support, ensuring consistent application of company policies and prompt resolution of HR inquiries.
- Review and revise HR policies to align with current employment legislation.
- Conduct and analyze exit interviews.
- Provide counsel and actively participate in work reviews and organizational change initiatives.
- Advise management on recruitment and selection methodologies.
- Track essential recruitment metrics, such as turnover and retention rates.
- Coordinate the hiring process for successful candidates.
- Assist the HR Director with various capability investigations, including grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Collaborate with HR colleagues to foster a unified approach and drive continuous improvement in delivering the People Strategy and annual business objectives.
- Draft and distribute HR-related correspondence and documentation.
- Support cases involving maternity and paternity leave.
- Assist with inquiries related to flexible working arrangements.
- Provide training support to the team as needed.
- Participate in recruitment activities when necessary, including preparing job descriptions, advertisements, conducting interviews, and managing offer letters and contracts.
- Generate monthly HR reports.
- Assist HR Management with various HR projects.
- Oversee and evaluate staff performance, career development, and appraisal processes.
- Demonstrate sound judgment and take appropriate actions in accordance with established HR policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Proficient in managing UK employee relations matters.
- Current knowledge of UK employment law.
- CIPD qualification is preferred.
- Previous experience at an advisory level.
- Strong skills in people management.
- Experience in a financially regulated environment.
