POSITION SUMMARY

As a Mechanical Assembly Specialist, your primary role will involve the precise and safe assembly and evaluation of cutting-edge K-Winch Products, which include various Wireline winches and masts, along with all associated accessories. You will be expected to utilize hand tools effectively, including tube bending equipment, while fostering an environment of safety and quality. Your contributions will enhance the assembly processes of NOV ISE products through innovative techniques and proactive problem-solving approaches. Collaboration with colleagues is essential, and you will be responsible for reporting any health and safety concerns, halting any unsafe operations, and communicating these issues to your Cell leader or line manager. Adherence to risk assessments and participation in safety initiatives is crucial. Maintaining the highest quality standards in your work is expected, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and punctually.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assembly & Evaluation: Skillfully assemble products by interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Hydraulic Systems: Construct and uphold clean hydraulic systems according to established design protocols.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect materials and equipment for defects, ensuring compliance with NOV quality standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering a cooperative work atmosphere.
  • Operational Efficiency: Contribute to initiatives focused on timely delivery, adherence to schedules, and quality cost management.
  • Workplace Organization: Sustain a tidy, organized, and secure work environment, implementing 5S and LEAN methodologies.
  • Process Enhancement: Develop and apply improvement strategies, addressing identified process inefficiencies.
  • Effective Communication: Engage actively in daily team discussions to identify and resolve potential challenges.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all risk assessments, report safety issues, and comply with safety regulations.
  • Task Execution: Complete assignments from the Cell Leader, ensuring high levels of productivity and operational effectiveness.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Essential:
  • Apprenticeship Completion: Demonstrated hands-on training and expertise in mechanical assembly.
  • Relevant NC Qualification: Strong educational foundation in a related field.
  • Mechanical Expertise: Proven experience in a mechanical role, showcasing practical abilities.
  • Tool Proficiency: Skilled in the safe and effective use of basic hand and power tools.
  • Technical Acumen: Capable of understanding, evaluating, and applying technical information accurately.
Desirable:
  • Advanced Education: Higher studies in a relevant discipline, enhancing technical knowledge.
  • Assembly & Manufacturing Background: Experience in assembly and manufacturing settings, providing valuable industry insight.
  • Certification: Forklift and crane operation certifications, or willingness to obtain through training.
  • Technical Literacy: Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and written instructions, ensuring precision in work.
