**About the Role**
We are seeking a highly skilled Environment Safety Case Manager to join our team at Morson Talent. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for providing expert advice on environmental requirements for safety cases in the nuclear industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver, implement, adopt, and maintain fit-for-purpose environmental assessments to support nuclear operations.
- Act as a Design Authority Representative and provide expert advice on environmental aspects of nuclear safety cases.
- Collaborate with the Safety Case Owner and other Safety Case Managers to maintain the health of safety cases and understand environmental risk profiles.
- Work with the Design Authority, Project Delivery Organization, and UTD Group Projects to inform updates and revisions to the nuclear safety case framework.
- Provide input and review of Change Management Proposals (CMPs) and offer advice and guidance in response to events and business improvements.
- Participate in governance committees, such as the Safety Review Group, Management of Safety & Environment Committee (MSEC), and Nuclear Safety, Security & Environment Committee (NSSEC).
Requirements:
- Degree qualified in a Science or Technical discipline or equivalent.
- Experience in the nuclear industry, COMAH, or high-hazard sites.
- Experience in preparing or reviewing environmental safety assessments.
- Thorough understanding of the UK Environmental Regulatory Framework.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate in technical and commercial forums.
- Experience in balancing risk from conflicting drivers.
- Leadership, planning, coordinating, and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
