About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General Internal Medicine to join our team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for developing and enhancing our Diabetes Technologies Service and Antenatal Diabetes care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist in-reach services to the Acute Medical Unit (ACU) and see diabetes and endocrinology patient referrals.
- Develop and implement effective diabetes management plans for patients with complex needs.
- Mentor and supervise junior medical staff on the team, ensuring they receive comprehensive training and support.
- Lead the Lipid Service, working closely with a Biochemist and Specialist Pharmacist to optimize patient care.

Requirements:
- Primary medical qualification MBChB or equivalent.
- Membership of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP).
- Relevant certificate of completion of training (CCT) in General Internal Medicine, Diabetes, and Endocrinology, or equivalent.
- A broad training experience in Diabetes and Endocrinology, with a positive attitude towards patient care.
- Ability to form good professional relationships with all departments and work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
