Job Title: Bank Senior Care and Support Assistant

Sanctuary Supported Living is a leading provider of personalized housing, care, and support services. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Bank Senior Care and Support Assistant to join our team at Clover Court, Lowestoft.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of Care and Support Assistants, providing personal care and support to customers, and promoting safe practices and risk assessments. They will also be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with internal and external customers, and managing and implementing safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead a team of Care and Support Assistants
  • Provide personal care and support to customers, encouraging them to enhance their independence and personal potential
  • Safe handling of medication
  • Build and maintain relationships with internal and external customers
  • Promote safe practices and undertake risk assessments as appropriate
  • Manage and implement safeguarding principles to ensure the safety of our customers
Requirements:
  • Previous experience supervising a team
  • Personalized approach to care and support, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to form positive relationships with people from varied backgrounds
  • Recent experience of working in a similar role with vulnerable people is essential
  • Enthusiastic and flexible with a strong “can-do” attitude
  • Strong organizational skills as well as functional literacy and numeracy
  • Understanding of relevant legislation and best practice
  • NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care, or willing to work towards is desirable
