About the Role

Mears Group PLC is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Resident Welfare Officer to join our team. As a key member of our frontline delivery team, you will play a vital role in providing accommodation and support services to vulnerable clients, ensuring their well-being and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Welfare and Support Services: Provide tailored support to clients, ensuring a culturally aware and sensitive approach to meet individual needs.
  • Contractual Compliance and Performance: Ensure full compliance with contractual requirements and deliver successful outcomes for all Key Performance Indicators and service delivery targets.
  • Safeguarding and Risk Management: Manage and mitigate service user well-being risk and escalation in line with policy and procedure.
  • Boundary Management and Resilience: Maintain professional boundaries and be resilient to ensure a well-defined service is provided to meet client needs.
  • Collaboration and Reporting: Work collaboratively with Housing Managers to deliver a seamless service and provide performance and service reporting as requested by line manager.

Requirements

  • Experience and Skills: Demonstrable experience of working in a similar role with safeguarding and risk management experience, as well as experience working with vulnerable and diverse client groups.
  • Personal Qualities: Supportive, trustworthy, good listener, approachable, empathetic, patient, open, and able to think on your feet with a strong desire to help others.
  • Education and Certifications: Educated to GCSE Level C or Equivalent in Maths & English.
  • Driving License and Computer Literacy: Full UK Clean Driving License and accurate data entry and good computer literacy.
