Management Accountant Opportunity

Command Recruitment is seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join their team at a leading Car Dealership in Peterborough. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of management accounts, ensuring timely completion of month-end tasks, and providing valuable insights to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Full accountability of Profit and Loss (P&L) and Balance Sheet
  • Support the Accounts Assistant to improve efficiency and accuracy of transactional processes
  • Periodic ledger reviews with the Accounts Assistant and site management
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and reviews
  • Review and authorise bank payments
  • Detailed analysis of revenue and expense lines
  • Budgeting and forecasting
  • Vehicle bonus review, coding, and processing
  • Manufacturer reporting and analysis
  • Payroll focal point
  • VAT
  • Develop and maintain relationships with site management
  • Year-end audit
  • Ad-hoc duties/projects as required
Requirements:
  • Pragmatic individual with strong influencing and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to balance accounting standards and business needs
  • Intermediate to advanced level of Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Team player with a hands-on approach
  • Motor trade experience is advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
