Job Overview:

We are partnering with a world-leading insurance company to find a talented Professional Indemnity Underwriter. This company is renowned for providing innovative insurance solutions and insuring risks that others can't.

This position has arisen due to the promotion of a Senior Underwriter into a technical line manager role, demonstrating the impressive career progression available within the company.

As a member of the renewals team in the Financial Lines Division, you'll work with a variety of Professional and Management risks, including Cyber and Technology risks. This team plays a crucial role in projects developing the book and improving business processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Underwriting large and complex renewal cases
  2. Collaborating with the Claims team
  3. Developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with the Technical department and the wider business
  4. Providing excellent service to brokers, prioritizing renewals and mid-term adjustments to ensure deadlines are met
  5. Involvement in interesting ad hoc projects

Requirements:

You must have strong experience in Financial Lines underwriting, including Professional liability, and ideally some Cyber and Management risks. Excellent written and spoken communication skills are essential, as you'll regularly deal with brokers. A good track record in building and developing relationships is also required.
