Commercial Underwriter Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Commercial Underwriter to join our client's Commercial Insurance Department in the UK. As a Commercial Underwriter, you will play a crucial role in helping our clients and brokers navigate the complex world of commercial insurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Underwrite Property & Casualty business profitably, accurately, and consistently, using a range of tools and expertise.
  • Build strong relationships with intermediaries and contribute to meetings with brokers and end customers to secure new business opportunities.
  • Identify poorly performing accounts and work with senior underwriters to implement actions to increase retention.
  • Actively encourage retention of profitable business and contribute to the development of new business opportunities.
Requirements:
  • Commercial Underwriting experience is essential for this role.
  • Strong analytical skills, with proven experience of account monitoring and action planning.
  • Technical underwriting expertise in a composite insurance environment.
  • Sound knowledge of legislative and regulatory requirements for insurance.
  • Dip CII Qualification or working towards ACII qualification.
