Clinical Phlebotomy Specialist

NHS National Services Scotland is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Community Phlebotomist. As a key member of our phlebotomy department, you will be responsible for delivering a high-quality venepuncture service to wards in hospitals within the Acute Division.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver the Phlebotomy Service to wards in hospitals within the Acute Division, ensuring target times are met and adhered to for the delivery of blood specimens to the laboratories.
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure the smooth operation of the phlebotomy service.
- Provide excellent patient care and maintain a safe and clean working environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You will also need to be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Please note that this role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Health and Care Worker visa.
NHS Scotland is reducing its full-time working week from 37 hours. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part-time staff. You may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid.
