Job Title: PRU Teaching Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced PRU Teaching Assistant to join our team at Qualiteach Ltd. The successful candidate will work closely with teachers to support students aged 14-16 in developing vital life skills, with the aim of aiding their reintegration into mainstream education.

About the Role:
  • Manage challenging behaviour and provide support to students in a PRU setting.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers to develop and implement individualized learning plans.
  • Provide guidance and motivation to students, promoting their social, emotional, and academic development.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, fostering a sense of community and respect among students and staff.
About the School:

Our PRU School is a small, caring environment that supports a total of 18 students, most of whom have been excluded from mainstream schools. We maintain a Good rating issued by Ofsted as of 2022 and are committed to providing a high-quality education to our students.

Requirements:
  • Experience working in a PRU or similar setting, preferably with a background in behaviour management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meeting the needs of students and staff.
  • Knowledge of behaviour management strategies and techniques, with a commitment to promoting positive behaviour and attitudes among students.
