We are seeking to recruit a proficient Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV) Operator to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be tasked with the responsibility of transporting various goods and materials to designated locations.
Key Responsibilities- Safely operate vehicles to deliver goods and materials
- Efficiently load and unload cargo, ensuring secure transport
- Strategically plan routes to adhere to delivery timelines
- Conduct vehicle inspections to identify mechanical issues and safety hazards
- Maintain precise records of deliveries and vehicle upkeep
- Comply with all traffic regulations and laws
- Possess a valid commercial driving license (Category C)
- Demonstrated experience as a delivery or truck operator
- Exceptional driving abilities with a strong emphasis on safety
- Capability to lift heavy items and engage in physical activities
- Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service
- Thorough understanding of road safety regulations and traffic laws
- Hold a HGV 1/C+E License for a minimum of 12 months with at least 6 months of driving experience in the UK
- No more than 6 penalty points and no DD/DR Code convictions
- Possess a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards
- Familiar with and able to adhere to Driver's hours and WTD legislation
- Comply with on-site health and safety protocols
- Exhibit excellent communication skills
Ongoing employment - 5 shifts weekly
Compensation: £16.26-£20.74 per hour
Work Schedule:
- 12-hour shifts
- Daytime shifts
- Various patterns: Monday to Friday, Tuesday to Saturday, Wednesday to Sunday
- Night shifts
- Weekend availability required
Minimum of 1 year driving experience required
- Driving License (UK required)
- Driver CPC (UK required)
- Tacho Card (UK)
Full-time position, primarily on the road
