We are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of heavy-duty vehicles, including HGV trucks, trailers, and cranes. Your strong background in mechanics and experience with electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems will be essential in diagnosing and resolving complex issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including inspections, oil changes, and tyre replacements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic issues.
- Work closely with OEM maintenance teams for yearly services and issue resolution.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as an HGV Technician or Plant Fitter.
- An apprenticeship in Mechanics/Automotive/Plant would be desired, but official qualifications are a must.
- Strong knowledge of HGVs, Plant machinery, and/or Off-highway vehicles.
- Ability to diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues.
- A valid HGV license (Class 1 or 2) would be great.
What We Offer:
- Hourly rate of £19-£23, depending on experience.
