Composites Technician Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Composites Technician to join our Manufacturing Assembly, Integration and Testing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with a highly-successful company at the forefront of Aerospace innovation.

The successful candidate will work across our product portfolio, manufacturing fibre-based components such as carbon fibre, glass fibre, and aramid fibre-based components. They will also manufacture simple tooling/moulds and patterns using epoxy or foam-based materials, as well as supporting the assembly of hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manufacture fibre-based components using various materials
  • Develop and maintain tooling/moulds and patterns
  • Support the assembly of hardware
  • Collaborate with the Manufacturing Assembly, Integration and Testing team

Requirements:

  • Strong engineering knowledge with experience in the assembly of precision components
  • Demonstrable practical experience of composites manufacturing
  • Knowledge of both the theoretical and practical aspects of MAIT, such as functional testing, electrical bonding/isolation, vibration, shock, TVAC, kinematic testing of deployable systems, etc.
  • Demonstrable experience of using assembly procedures
