About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and patient-focused individual to join our team as a Regional Cancer Pathway Navigator. This exciting new position will play a crucial role in supporting patients through their treatment journey, ensuring they receive the right care in the right place.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support patients through their treatment journey, coordinating care across different services and trusts.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals to ensure timely and effective care delivery.
  • Work closely with the regional Multi-Disciplinary Teams (MDT) to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with MDT members, particularly MDT leads and Clinical Nurse Specialists.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new ways of working, influencing service improvements.
Requirements
  • Education to degree level or equivalent experience.
  • Significant experience working in the NHS, with a strong understanding of cancer targets and patient pathways.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Strong numerical and statistical skills, with the ability to work with data quality.
  • Ability to work independently, with high levels of initiative and minimal supervision.
