Job Overview

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled Paediatric Ophthalmology Specialist to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our department, you will be responsible for providing a comprehensive range of Paediatric Ophthalmology services, including ROP screening and general Ophthalmology care.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide specialist Paediatric and Adult Strabismus services, utilizing your expertise to deliver high-quality patient care.
  • Contribute to the General Ophthalmology service, working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and lead outpatient clinics at Stoke Mandeville Hospital and Wycombe/Amersham General Hospital, ensuring efficient and effective patient flow.
  • Participate in operating theatre sessions, utilizing your surgical skills to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.
  • Teach and mentor Oxford deanery trainees and medical students, sharing your expertise to develop the next generation of healthcare professionals.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
