Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Beverage Manager in overseeing the entire shipboard beverage operation.
  • Direct the bar function and associated activities throughout the vessel.
  • Supervise and train subordinate supervisors to ensure seamless execution of beverage operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve beverage sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage inventory, ordering, and storage of beverages, supplies, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with USPH rules and regulations.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless execution of beverage operations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and ensure a positive guest experience.

Requirements:

  • At least 5 years of managerial experience in Beverage Management on a cruise ship.
  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or related field.
  • Supervisory experience with at least 30 employees.
  • Knowledge of beverage brands and quality of liquors, wine, and beers.
  • Ability to manage international staff and provide customer service.
  • Proficiency in analyzing documents and calculating figures.
  • Familiarity with USPH rules.
  • Understanding of business and organizational planning, human resources, and guest satisfaction techniques.
  • Working knowledge of computer software and internet navigation.

Language Requirements:

  • Ability to speak English clearly, distinctly, and cordially with guests.
  • Ability to speak additional languages such as Spanish, French, German, etc.
