JOB OVERVIEW

Wood is seeking a Senior Quality Control Inspector to enhance our operations. This position is primarily based on-site and involves critical responsibilities in ensuring quality standards are met.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

The selected candidate will be tasked with:
  • Conducting thorough inspections of products and materials, along with their documentation, to ensure adherence to Wood's standards, client specifications, and industry regulations.
  • Coordinating with qualified inspection personnel to guarantee that inspection tasks are performed according to established protocols.
  • Validating inspection requirements and executing inspection activities at the designated fabrication site or as directed by the Quality Lead.
  • Reviewing material certifications prior to the commencement of fabrication or manufacturing processes.
  • Selecting appropriate welding procedures for approval by the welding engineer.
  • Overseeing and reviewing testing activities in line with the Inspection and Test Plan (ITP).
  • Ensuring that all necessary approvals are secured before initiating specific tasks, such as weld procedure approvals and welder certifications.
  • Reviewing and endorsing quality documentation generated from fabrication and manufacturing activities.
  • Generating Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) requests through the AESSOP System.
  • Preparing inspection and progress reports as needed.
  • Participating in factory acceptance tests.
  • Conducting final inspections and issuing inspection release documentation.
  • Reporting any inspection-related issues and inquiries to the facility quality advisor.
  • Assisting in incident investigations and ensuring that corrective actions are implemented effectively.
  • Engaging in audits and participating in HSE and Quality Toolbox meetings as required.
QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Qualifications:
  • Technical qualifications or experience as a tradesperson.
  • Welding Inspection certification from a recognized industry body, such as CSWIP 3.2.
  • Radiographic interpretation certification.
Desirable Qualifications:
  • Quality auditor qualification from a recognized industry organization.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience:
  • Relevant inspection experience, preferably within the industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
Personal Attributes:
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
