Job Title: Assistant Management Accountant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Assistant Management Accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Torus Group. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated individual to contribute to the financial success of our organization by assisting in the development and maintenance of financial plans and budgets, analysing cost centres, and delivering insightful financial reports to guide key strategic decisions.

In this role, you will prepare monthly performance reports, identify financial trends, collaborate with operational teams, and provide informed recommendations to enhance financial efficiency and performance. Your work will be instrumental in ensuring the company's financial health and sustainability.

As the Assistant Management Accountant, you will work closely with department heads to ensure the accuracy of financial reporting and forecasting, while playing a pivotal role in supporting internal controls to safeguard company assets. Success in this position requires strong analytical capabilities, proficiency in financial software, and a comprehensive understanding of financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and analyse financial information for internal use by management.
  • Develop and maintain financial plans and budgets.
  • Analyse cost centres and identify areas for improvement.
  • Deliver insightful financial reports to guide key strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to enhance financial efficiency and performance.

Requirements:

  • Actively studying towards a professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA or CIPFA).
  • Track record in delivering operational service which has resulted in measurable business benefits.
  • Successful track record of achievement in implementing effective finance systems and processes in a complex organisation.
  • High levels of IT literacy and an understanding of new ways of working.
  • Ability to anticipate reactions to change and new interventions and suggest appropriate responses.
  • Take personal responsibility for your own workload.
  • Confident listening and presenting, and able to influence and inspire others and encourage innovation.
  • Passionate, committed, and self-motivated to inspire others to change.
  • Demonstrable governance and financial compliance management experience to ensure robust and compliant operations.
  • Flexibility and a willingness to adapt to changing demands.
