Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 Chemotherapy Nurse to join our team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our chemotherapy care team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting the success of our trust.

Main Responsibilities
  • Support the Band 7 in delivering a seven-day, 24-hour service by the team or area you are responsible for, ensuring high standards of professional practice and quality patient care.
  • Develop and implement specialized clinical practices, knowledge, and skills to enhance patient outcomes and experiences.
  • Contribute to productivity and financial management of clinical areas, leading by example and promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Collaborate with the Band 7 to ensure clinical services are delivered to a high standard, meeting compliance requirements and achieving CQC and contractual objectives.
  • Provide effective leadership and mentorship to team members, promoting a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements
  • Degree-level education or equivalent knowledge and skills gained through alternative study or employment experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience of staff supervision, workforce budgets, and staff development planning.
  • Ability to work and lead within a multidisciplinary team across an organization.
