About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Thermal Hydraulics Engineer to join our team at oilandgas. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of thermal hydraulic systems for our nuclear propulsion plants.

Key Responsibilities
  • Undertake verification and validation activities of thermal hydraulic models, interacting with our Experimental Engineering Team who conduct testing using onsite rigs.
  • Develop production analysis methods, including automation, data assimilation, and uncertainty quantification.
  • Conduct technical analysis of the core, plant, and specific components in support of safety cases.
  • Support design and manufacture through bespoke thermal hydraulic assessments of our existing and future products.
  • Connect with other centers of thermal hydraulic knowledge and skills, such as our industry partners, civil nuclear, and academia.
Requirements
  • Experience in thermal hydraulics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer.
  • A strong academic background with a relevant degree (undergraduate, masters, or PhD) in engineering, physics, or a scientific subject.
  • Ability to apply your experience and knowledge to the challenges and example analyses listed in the job application.
