About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Head of Service. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the strategic development and operational management of our Midlands region.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of delivering outstanding outcomes and will be able to demonstrate their ability to lead and manage a team of qualified social workers. You will also have a strong understanding of child-related regulatory standards and legislation, as well as experience of ensuring services are managed in accordance with relevant government agendas and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the strategic development and operational management of our Midlands region
  • Develop and implement business plans to achieve organisational objectives
  • Manage and develop a high-performing team of qualified social workers
  • Ensure the highest level of service is provided to our foster carers and children
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including local authorities and other external partners
  • Contribute to the development of organisational policies and procedures
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of services and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements
  • Proven experience of leading and managing a team of qualified social workers
  • Strong understanding of child-related regulatory standards and legislation
  • Experience of ensuring services are managed in accordance with relevant government agendas and frameworks
  • Ability to develop and implement business plans to achieve organisational objectives
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals
