About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Depaul Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering young adults in care to achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support: Provide one-to-one and group support to young adults in care, addressing their physical, emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
  • Partnerships and Collaborations: Develop and maintain partnerships with local agencies, including statutory teams, to support the well-being of Depaul clients.
  • Education and Employment: Support clients to participate in education, training, employment, and volunteering opportunities, facilitating the work of Depaul's Community Programmes Team.
  • Safeguarding and Risk Management: Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients, adhering to Depaul's Policy and Procedures, including Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures.
Requirements
  • Experience: Experience of working with young people or those who have experienced homelessness.
  • Knowledge and Skills: Understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance misuse, or the care system, as well as knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
