Job SummaryFollowing the promotion of our current Assistant Head to a Deputy Head teacher position, we are seeking to appoint a talented and values-driven Assistant Head teacher to join the Senior Leadership Team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience of working with young people with a range of special needs to join a thriving and ambitious school.
The successful individual will take on the role of the school SENCo and will ensure that EHC Plans are updated and reviewed in a timely fashion, that provision is implemented, and that students make progress towards their objectives and outcomes. They will ensure high-quality teaching and learning occurs across the school and will monitor and oversee assessment, monitoring, and target setting, including accreditation.
The postholder will also have oversight of transition into and out of the school. The successful candidate will work as part of a highly motivated leadership team, alongside a talented and committed staff team, with our diverse, inclusive, and amazing student population.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example and demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Take on the role of the school SENCo and ensure EHC Plans are updated and reviewed in a timely fashion
- Ensure high-quality teaching and learning occurs across the school
