We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pension Administrator to join our Pensions Team at Royal Mail Group. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely payment of pension benefits to our members.
Key Responsibilities- Support the Team Leader with the review and sign-off of each payroll run to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical expertise to the Payroll Administrators to ensure accurate payroll calculations and validate member record changes.
- Act as an escalation point for member queries and complaints related to payroll and pensions processes.
- Coach and develop the skills of Payroll Administrators to resolve complex cases and improve their knowledge of payroll and pensions processes.
- Demonstrable experience as a professional payroll practitioner with a strong understanding of payroll and HMRC rules and regulations.
- Experience of developing, leading, and motivating a team and delivering a professional, customer-focused service within a structured, regulated commercial framework.
- Strong influencing skills and the ability to engage effectively at all levels, both internal and external to Royal Mail Group.
- Demonstrably strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to assimilate complex information and translate it into easily understandable language.
- Proven planning and organizational skills, including experience of delivering to demanding timescales and working flexibly to ensure stakeholder and customer requirements are met.
- Proven exponent of service improvement tools and techniques, with a track record of challenging the status quo and delivering transformational and incremental change.
- English Language and Mathematics at GCSE/A Level.
- Possess or be willing to study for a professional payroll qualification via a Workplace Pensions Apprenticeship scheme.
- Desirable professional pensions qualification (e.g., Certificate/Advanced Diploma in Pensions Administration; PMI Award in Pensions Essentials; QPA, etc.).
