Although this position is referred to as Culinary Support Specialist, it may also be known as Chef, Line Cook, or Kitchen Assistant.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing a high-quality, adaptable catering service that meets the individual dietary requirements of our customers.
  • Overseeing the food and labor budget through meticulous planning, procurement, and management of food supplies to ensure effective menu delivery.
  • Handling orders, managing food stock locations, conducting audits, and maintaining accurate weekly labor entries and daily financial records.
  • Implementing and managing the Food Safety Management System, ensuring team compliance and understanding.
  • Coordinating cleaning and maintenance schedules for all food service areas and kitchen equipment to uphold stringent sanitation and safety standards.
  • Conducting risk assessments and ensuring the kitchen is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness.
  • Assisting in the supervision and professional growth of kitchen staff.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in a catering environment, with a background in preparing meals for diverse groups.
  • Possession of a Level 2 Diploma in Catering and Hospitality.
  • A valid Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
  • Familiarity with online catering management software.
  • Strong understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • A friendly demeanor with the ability to engage positively with customers, visitors, and colleagues.
