About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Team Member or Nursery Nurse to join our team at Helen & Douglas House. As a key member of our Care Team, you will work alongside Registered Nurses in a multi-disciplinary team to deliver exceptional care to children and their families.

Main Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality care to children with life-limiting conditions, focusing on their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the Care Team to develop and implement individualized care plans, ensuring the best possible outcomes for our patients.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to children and their families, promoting a sense of calm and well-being.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance your skills and knowledge in palliative and respite care.

Requirements

  • NVQ/Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Consolidated experience in a related care setting, preferably in palliative or respite care.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to adapt to diverse situations and individuals.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and during school holidays, as required.
