About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Duty Manager to join our team at JD Gyms. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for leading and managing the day-to-day operations of the gym, ensuring exceptional customer service and driving commercial performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the day-to-day running of the gym, including staff supervision and development.
  • Assume the responsibilities of the General Manager in their absence, ensuring seamless continuity of operations.
  • Drive commercial performance through effective sales and marketing strategies.
  • Deliver operational excellence by maintaining high standards of customer service and facility maintenance.
  • Meet and exceed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by the company.
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a positive and inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a management position within the leisure industry, preferably with a Level 2 Gym Instructor qualification.
  • Passionate about customer service and able to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience in driving sales and coordinating local marketing activities.
  • Ideal candidate will have experience as an Assistant Manager or Fitness Manager, with a proven track record of success in a similar operational function.
