We are seeking an experienced and visionary leader to join our team at Ubique Systems as a Senior Python Developer - Automation Expert. This role is pivotal in driving the end-to-end change and automation processes across our software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Leadership:
    • Lead and manage engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable, and secure software solutions.

    • Engage with key stakeholders across the organization to ensure alignment of technical solutions with business needs.
    • Influence and guide strategic decisions, advocating for the technical roadmap and the adoption of automation technologies.
  • Risk and Compliance:
    • Ensure all software solutions comply with regulatory requirements and internal risk management policies.
    • Implement robust risk and control mechanisms to safeguard the integrity and security of the bank's software systems.
  • Talent and Team Development:
    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation within the engineering teams.
    • Lead the development and retention of top technical talent, ensuring the team is equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to drive automation and innovation.
    • Provide coaching and development opportunities to team members, supporting their professional growth.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Proven experience in software development, with a focus on automation, DevOps, and end-to-end change management.
    • Proficiency in Python (mandatory) and experience with Ansible (desirable).
    • Deep understanding of metadata acquisition, governance automation, and architecture backup processes.
  • Leadership and Management:
    • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and mentoring engineering teams.
    • Experience in stakeholder management, influencing others, and driving strategic initiatives within a large organisation.
