Job Title: General Foreman

Location: Solihull, West Midlands

Salary: Competitive rate (Contract Position)

Future Build Recruitment is partnering with a medium-sized civil engineering contractor to deliver a £2m water treatment project near Solihull, West Midlands. We are seeking an experienced General Foreman to oversee the successful delivery of this complex civil works project.

Job Description:

As a General Foreman, you will report to the Contracts Manager and be responsible for maintaining health & safety standards on-site, conducting toolbox talks and other briefings, procuring plant and materials, managing the workforce, labour, and subcontractors, and ensuring compliance with safety plans and regulations.

  • Develop and implement site-specific safety plans and risk assessments
  • Coordinate with site operatives and subcontractors to ensure timely completion of the project
  • Manage and maintain accurate site record keeping, including diaries, allocation sheets, plant returns, and goods received notes
  • Oversee subcontractors to ensure compliance with their check sheets and quality standards
  • Assist in the completion of Safety Plans, RAMS & COSHH
Requirements:

  • SMSTS / SSSTS
