Conference & Banqueting Assistant Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Conference & Banqueting Assistant Manager to join our team at The Palace Hotel in Buxton. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional service to our clients and ensuring the smooth operation of conferences and banqueting events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Setting up and assisting clients with audio-visual equipment
  • Arranging meet and greet events with organisers and serving as their point of contact
  • Supervising, supporting, and training the team
  • Participating in Conference & Banqueting events as required
  • Providing a professional service to our clients
  • Ensuring the highest level of presentation of our event rooms
  • Leading the department in the absence of the Conference and Events Manager
Requirements:
  • Supervisory experience in conference and banqueting
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks
  • Knowledge of audio-visual equipment and event management software
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
