Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior UX Design Lead to join our team at User Vision. This exciting research-focused role, reporting into our Director of Consulting, is focused on leading teams in delivering rich insight for our diverse range of high-profile clients and using it to shape incredible experiences. You will work directly with key clients, identifying their needs, conceiving approaches to answer research questions or solve design problems, executing that approach in a rigorous and professional way, and translating user needs into impactful designs and deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead teams in delivering user research, service design, and accessibility services to high-profile clients
  • Work directly with clients to identify their needs and develop effective solutions
  • Conceive and execute approaches to answer research questions or solve design problems
  • Translate user needs into impactful designs and deliverables
  • Mentor junior consultants on the team and contribute to the success of the company
  • Balance client work while fostering client relationships and uncovering new opportunities for collaboration

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience of UX research in agency, consultancy, or in-house teams
  • Strong leadership and client management skills
  • Excellent business acumen, communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines and handle multiple projects effectively
  • Proven ability to lead teams and get the most out of individuals
  • Commitment to continued personal and professional development
  • Ability and willingness to work from our Edinburgh office (hybrid) and travel to client offices as required
