Job Description:

Job Title: Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with legislation and industry best practices, providing professional advice and solutions to manage health, safety, quality, and environmental matters within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective health, safety, and environmental policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
  • Provide training and guidance to employees on health, safety, and environmental procedures and best practices.
  • Investigate incidents and accidents to identify root causes and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective implementation of health, safety, and environmental management systems.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory bodies and industry stakeholders to stay up-to-date on relevant laws and regulations.
  • Prepare and submit reports on health, safety, and environmental performance to senior management and regulatory bodies.

Requirements:

  • NEBOSH Diploma or NVQ Level 5 Certificate in Health and Safety.
  • Experience working in a similar role within the utility industry.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Working Environment:

The successful candidate will be based in London and the surrounding areas, with occasional travel to other locations as required.
