Job Description

**Head of Financial Control and Reporting**

We are seeking a seasoned senior leader to join our team at DCS Technology as the Head of Financial Control and Reporting. This exciting opportunity will allow you to shape the financial control and reporting landscape and work closely with our Finance Director to drive efficiency and excellence in our financial processes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Lead a Talented Team**: Foster the growth and development of your team, helping them achieve both personal and business goals through coaching and development.
  • **Serve as a Key Business Partner**: Provide expert advice on current and emerging financial accounting standards, and offer pragmatic solutions to mitigate risks.
  • **Ensure Financial Reporting**: Prepare and present clear, accurate financial reports for internal and external stakeholders, maintaining full compliance with statutory and financial regulations.

**More About the Role:**

  • **Provide Strategic Financial Control Direction**: Offer oversight of both current and future financial risks to senior management, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • **Expert Financial Guidance**: Act as the go-to expert on complex financial structures and disclosures, reviewing risks and offering sound, practical solutions.
  • **Operational and Commercial Performance**: Oversee the alignment of operational and commercial performance, supporting initiatives that track success and uncover further opportunities for growth.
  • **Financial Process Optimization**: Develop and implement strategies, policies, and procedures that optimize financial processes and ensure accuracy in financial statements.

**Requirements:**

  • A qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent) with extensive post-qualification experience.
  • Passion for finance with a deep understanding of the commercial landscape.
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to coach, engage, and lead your team to excellence.
  • A strong strategic mindset, coupled with outstanding interpersonal skills to communicate effectively across all levels of the business.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with a curiosity to drive innovation and continuous improvement in financial strategy.
  • Adaptability and agility to respond to business changes and realign financial activities as needed.

**What's on offer?**

Salary: Up to £70,000 per annum dependent on experience plus a heap of benefits
