Senior Nurse - ITU Unit

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Nurse to join our ITU Unit at The Wellington Hospital, a leading private hospital in the UK. As a Senior Nurse, you will be responsible for leading a team of nurses in providing high-quality care to critically ill patients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of nurses in providing patient care and ensuring that high standards of care are maintained
  • Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate patient care, ensuring that it is tailored to individual needs
  • Develop and implement care plans, working closely with other healthcare professionals
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and support to junior nurses to help them develop their skills and confidence
  • Contribute to the development of the ITU Unit, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance patient care

Requirements

  • Registered General Nurse with valid NMC pin
  • Recognise post-graduate Critical Care Course (60 credits)
  • Neuro, Spinal or General ITU experience
  • Experience managing others (desirable)
