The Live Production Equipment Technician plays a crucial role across the organization, focusing on two primary responsibilities: maintaining and repairing the visual and functional integrity of the live production audio equipment, transport cases, and dollies, as well as fabricating custom metal and wood components as necessary. Additionally, this position supports the Building Maintenance & Health and Safety Manager in ensuring the overall maintenance of the UK facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and implement maintenance standards and schedules for equipment upkeep. Execute an annual repair program for the live production audio inventory. Refurbish equipment enclosures. Conduct repairs on transport cases. Assess project costs and manage financial resources effectively. Perform routine maintenance tasks, including painting, property repairs, carpentry, plumbing, and lighting replacements. Address minor repairs and coordinate with contractors for significant maintenance needs. Plan and oversee maintenance for external structures and parking areas. Fulfill any additional reasonable requests from management as needed.

Required Skills and Experience:

Proficient in identifying issues related to health and safety and building maintenance. Knowledgeable about laws and regulations affecting building operations. Familiar with all aspects of health, safety, and risk management. Well-versed in current health and safety legislation and standards. Strong organizational abilities. Certification as a skilled tradesperson in one or more relevant fields. Technical expertise in heating systems, electrical work, plumbing, and fire safety protocols. Willingness to respond to emergency situations and travel as required. Flexibility to work additional hours as necessary to fulfill job responsibilities and meet business needs. Competent administrative skills. Willingness to undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by management.

Preferred Skills and Experience:

NEBOSH certification. COSHH certification. IOSH certification. Experience in the audio industry. Extensive background in the construction sector.

Educational Background:

Degree or equivalent qualification in a related field.

Work Experience:

At least 5 years of experience in a relevant position.
