About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Kitchen Assistant to join our team at HC-One. As a Kitchen Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, and quality in our care homes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals to our residents
  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to strict health and safety protocols
  • Support the kitchen team in maintaining food supplies, fridge/freezer temperatures, and equipment
  • Provide excellent customer service to residents, families, and colleagues
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance culinary skills and knowledge
Requirements
  • Previous experience in a kitchen or food preparation role
  • NVQ2 in Catering or Food Preparation, or willingness to study for one
  • Excellent record-keeping and organizational skills
  • Ability to follow recipes and maintain high standards of food quality
  • Kindness, compassion, and a commitment to delivering exceptional care
