Job Title: Trust and Statutory Fundraising Officer

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Trust and Statutory Fundraising Officer to join our team at Mencap. As a key member of our fundraising team, you will play a vital role in securing funding from trusts and foundations to support our mission.

About the Role

This is a full-time, permanent position based in London, with flexibility to work from home or a local Mencap office. You will be responsible for identifying and building relationships with trusts and foundations, as well as developing and implementing a strategic approach to securing funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain relationships with trusts and foundations to secure funding for Mencap's programs and services.
  • Research and identify potential funding opportunities, and develop and submit grant applications.
  • Work closely with the Senior Trusts and Statutory Manager and other colleagues to implement our fundraising strategy.
  • Monitor and report on fundraising progress, and provide regular updates to the team and senior management.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Excellent writing and communication skills, with the ability to develop compelling grant applications and reports.A strong understanding of the trusts and foundations sector, and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.Experience in fundraising, with a proven track record of securing funding from trusts and foundations.Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work to deadlines and prioritize multiple tasks.What We Offer
