The Role

We are offering an exciting position for an Asphalt Production Technician to join a versatile team at our facility. This role involves working shifts, including weekends and nights.

Your responsibilities will include operating both fixed and mobile equipment to produce asphalt while upholding the highest standards of health and safety, quality, sustainability, efficiency, and environmental consciousness, reporting directly to site management. The key tasks include:

Asphalt Mixing Operations - (Comprehensive Training Provided)

Executing the mixing of asphalt products to BSI:9001 standards and within our specifications to ensure premium quality for our customers.

  • Completing and documenting pre-start inspections using the company’s digital platform.
  • Identifying, documenting, and reporting any defective fixed plant equipment.
  • Assisting maintenance teams in monitoring and maintaining the condition of fixed plant machinery.
  • Utilising the control system to manage fixed plant operations.

Loading Shovel Operations - (Comprehensive Training Provided)

  • Completing and documenting pre-start inspections using the company’s digital platform.
  • Timely reporting of any defective equipment to the management team.
  • Monitoring aggregate stock levels and supplying materials to the asphalt production line.
  • Adhering to the site’s transport safety plan while operating vehicles.
  • Efficiently managing machinery operations to minimise costs and environmental impact.

Weighbridge Management - (Comprehensive Training Provided)

Overseeing and managing the loading of vehicles through the control system, including programming and scheduling materials for production.

  • Inputting data into the company’s Internal Management System.
  • Ensuring vehicle compliance with workplace transport regulations and communicating with relevant order offices.
