Anderselite is seeking a skilled Water Systems Commissioning Specialist to collaborate with a leading contractor on a significant water management framework.


This role presents an exciting opportunity for a Commissioning Specialist to integrate into our Client's Environmental Division, focusing on the water sector.


The ideal candidate will be located in the vicinity of the operational area and will have the flexibility to travel across various project sites.


We are looking for an experienced professional who has successfully completed a recognized electrical apprenticeship.


As a Water Systems Commissioning Specialist, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the effective execution of Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (MEICA) systems and the commissioning of water-related projects.


You will work under the guidance of the Senior Commissioning Specialist and closely collaborate with the project delivery team on a variety of projects, ensuring all necessary documentation is prepared and delivered promptly.


Your role will involve confirming that the site meets all commissioning standards and that handover requirements are fulfilled efficiently.


This position includes contributing to the design phase, offering a commissioning perspective to the project team, drafting comprehensive procedures for commissioning tasks, and maintaining records that validate the configuration and testing processes.


Additionally, you will be tasked with implementing and upholding MEICA safety protocols in line with site health and safety management practices for the projects you oversee.


This entails regularly evaluating new risks and hazards that may not be explicitly addressed by existing safety documentation.


To excel in the role of Water Systems Commissioning Specialist, we expect you to possess the following qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the water sector.
  • A commitment to professional development as a commissioning engineer.
  • A desire to expand your knowledge of water and wastewater processes, along with associated mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications for report creation and presentation.
  • A solid understanding of water industry operations.
  • Knowledge of mechanical and electrical equipment utilized in the water sector.
  • Preferably, the capability to act as a Low Voltage Electrical Authorised Person and familiarity with permit-to-work systems.
  • A recognized electrical apprenticeship is preferred.
  • A valid CSCS or ECS card.
  • SMSTS or SSSTS certification.
  • A full driving license.
  • BS7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations - 18th Edition certification.
