Lead Cyber Security Analyst

Position Overview: The Senior Cyber Security Specialist will report directly to the Deputy Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) and will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of IT Governance, Risk Management, Security Awareness, and Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery initiatives within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and uphold the governance framework for IT operations, ensuring compliance with UK regulations.
- Maintain necessary certifications to align with legal and regulatory standards for UK operations.
- Oversee the risk management process, ensuring effective identification, assessment, and reporting of risks across UK operations.
- Facilitate IT risk assessments in accordance with established risk management policies for projects and third-party vendors.
- Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations, aligning with organizational goals.
- Develop and maintain the Business Continuity Plan for IT services.
- Establish and manage the Disaster Recovery Plan for IT services.
- Identify, recruit, and mentor team members to enhance departmental capabilities.
- Create risk decision-making frameworks that align with business objectives.
- Generate reporting and dashboards to provide insights into IT governance and risk management.
- Act as the primary liaison for IT audits and assessments related to UK operations.
- Develop compliance metrics and reporting in line with industry standards such as Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001.
- Implement a Security Awareness Program to educate staff and mitigate information security risks.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field; a Master's degree is preferred.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in information security, governance, risk management, or related fields.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CISM, or CISSP are highly desirable.
Skills and Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks, including Cyber Essentials and NIST.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to convey complex security concepts to diverse audiences.
- In-depth understanding of cyber-security threats and remediation strategies.
- Awareness of technological advancements in information security.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure while maintaining professionalism.
- Proven capability to influence stakeholders and drive change.
- Collaborative mindset with a track record of working effectively with various teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills, capable of managing multiple high-priority issues simultaneously.
