ROLE: Apprentice Maintenance Technician

CONTRACT TYPE: Fixed-term contract leading to permanent role

HOURS: Monday to Friday, 08:00-16:30, with 30 minutes for lunch

SALARY: Competitive hourly rate of £8.00, increasing on successful completion of the apprenticeship

As an Apprentice Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for the installation and maintenance of new and existing equipment and machinery within our production facilities. This will ensure minimal or zero interruption to our manufacturing process due to equipment failure.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fault finding and troubleshooting for breakdowns and equipment failure, using OEM diagnostic software and manual processes
  • Maintaining and installing equipment using technical drawings
  • Completing proactive and preventative maintenance schedules
  • Making decisions about equipment safety and power
  • Delivering high standards of operational excellence

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Desire to learn and progress in your career
  • Good work ethic and timekeeping
  • Grade 4 English and Maths
  • Technical mindset and aptitude
  • Basic IT skills
  • Previous team working experience (desirable)
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions (desirable)
  • Ability to work out mathematical problems and trigonometry (desirable)
