Medical Practitioner

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Civilian Medical Practitioner to join our team at the Defence Primary Healthcare (DPHC) in Portsmouth. As a key member of our Primary Healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality primary and occupational healthcare to our entitled personnel.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Providing general healthcare to all registered patients during normal practice hours.
- Maximising the levels of health, wellbeing, and employability of Service personnel to ensure the needs of the single Services are met.
- Undertaking mandatory medical examinations and providing appropriate occupational healthcare and advice, and all supporting administrative duties.
- Appropriately supervising the management of communicable diseases, including monitoring and reporting through single Service chains.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you will need:
- Registration with the United Kingdom (UK) General Medical Council (GMC), and on the General Practitioner (GP) Register.
- To be proficient in relevant Information Technology (IT) systems subject to appropriate training being provided.
