Position Overview:
We are seeking applications for the role of Police Enquiry Officer (Part-time) with Dorset Police.
Salary Structure: The starting salary for this position is £24,921, with annual increments leading to a maximum of £27,351 per annum, based on a full-time schedule of 37 hours per week. For part-time employees, the salary will be adjusted accordingly.
Employment Type: Permanent
Work Arrangement: Static-Worker - This role requires presence at specific police premises, limiting remote work opportunities.
Weekly Hours: This position is for 20 hours per week , with flexibility considered for part-time applicants based on operational needs.
Additional Compensation: This role includes a Weekend Working payment.
Role Responsibilities:
As a Police Enquiry Officer, you will be the initial point of contact for the public regarding reported crimes and incidents. Your responsibilities will include:
- Responding to a variety of enquiries from the public and other organizations, providing guidance on legislation and police responsibilities.
- Accurately recording and managing information received.
- Offering supportive assistance to witnesses and victims, ensuring their concerns are escalated to the appropriate police resources when necessary.
The Police Enquiry Office operates from Monday to Saturday.
