About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Fire Engineer to join our Glasgow team and contribute to delivering world-class life safety solutions to our diverse client base. As a key member of our team, you will lead on complex projects, manage personnel, and mentor graduates. Your expertise in fire engineering, computational fluid dynamics, and computer modeling will be essential in shaping the future of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage large-scale projects, ensuring successful delivery to clients.
  • Work on a diverse portfolio of projects across the UK and globally, involving various building types.
  • Develop and apply computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling and analysis for smoke movement.
  • Utilize computer modeling software, such as CFAST, Pyrosim, and Pathfinder, to provide innovative fire engineering solutions.
  • Lead a team of engineers, mentoring and training graduates to ensure their growth and development.
  • Engage with clients, providing expert advice on construction-related queries.
  • Contribute to business development, identifying new clients and opportunities to drive business growth.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • A background in fire engineering, preferably in a consultancy environment.
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher in Fire Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Ideal candidates will be or working towards becoming a Chartered engineer.
