Control Systems Engineer Opportunity

We're seeking a talented Control Systems Engineer to join our team at Transicon Limited, a leading control system manufacturer based in Telford. As a Control Systems Engineer, you'll work on developing bespoke control systems for leading global brands across various industry sectors, including food and drink, automotive, environmental, and metal processing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, specification, and project management of control systems for industrial applications
  • Commissioning of control systems, including variable speed drive, servo drive, PLC, and SCADA systems
  • Software programming using established industrial platforms like Siemens and Rockwell PLC, as well as SCADA systems
  • HMI design and programming
  • Liaising with the Mechatronics department to develop control systems for our own bespoke industrial machinery
Requirements:
  • Degree or similar qualification in an electrical or mechatronic engineering field
  • Ability to work independently within allocated time scales
  • Attention to detail and ability to use first principles to check the quality of work
  • Team work and strong communication skills
  • Experience with Microsoft Word/Excel
Desirable Skills:
  • Experience in using software tools such as Siemens TIA, Rockwell Studio 5000, LABView
  • Familiarity with hardware/software testing
  • Knowledge of safety systems
  • Knowledge of machine learning/AI in control system design
