We are an independent bakery cafe on London City Island, East London, known for our high-quality baked goods and specialty coffee.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and bake a variety of bakery items, including pastries, bread, and cakes.
  • Follow recipes and ensure consistency in product quality and taste.
  • Measure and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment.
  • Operate baking equipment such as ovens, mixers, bread slicer, and prover.
  • Monitor baking process and adjust temperatures or cooking times as needed.
  • Pack delivery for drivers and print delivery notes.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Clean and maintain work area and equipment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a professional kitchen or bakery setting is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food production techniques and baking principles.
  • Familiarity with food safety regulations and best practices.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively.
