Cygnet Storthfield House is a 22-bed specialized high-support rehabilitation service for men located in Derbyshire. Our facility is committed to fostering a high-quality environment that promotes long-term recovery.

Through a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach, we provide exceptional care utilizing our distinctive four-stage model for mental health rehabilitation services.

Role Overview...

We are looking for an individual who is eager to join our psychology department to enhance and support the psychological services for our patients at Cygnet Storthfield House. The Assistant Psychologist/Trainee Forensic Psychologist will assist the psychologist in:

  • Supporting psychological assessments and treatments by scoring psychometric tests and developing formulations under supervision
  • Assisting in data collection and risk analysis
  • Contributing to risk assessments, including STARTs and HCR-20s
  • Aiding in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of group programs and individual therapy sessions
  • Engaging in administration, audit, research, and service development
  • Contributing to the development and delivery of training programs
  • Participating in clinical supervision

Ideal Candidate Profile...

  • A BPS accredited BSc (Hons) degree in Psychology (2:1 or above)
  • A BPS accredited MSc degree in Psychology (preferred)
  • Experience in healthcare and/or as an Assistant Psychologist
  • A passion for learning and working collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team
